Honoring a legacy of love and dedication to special needs children
We are a family-run trust rooted in Barnet, dedicated to continuing the legacy of the late Saliha Basit Sardar. Saliha was a deeply compassionate special needs Teaching Assistant at the Village School in Kingsbury. Sadly, she passed away in January 2023, just months before her retirement, after a brief battle with cancer. In honour of her work, we established the Trust using her retirement funds to extend her mission of care and empowerment for children with special needs.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring meaningful support to children and young people with special needs—both physical and mental—particularly within the London Boroughs of Barnet and Brent. We aim to provide financial assistance, essential equipment, and specialised services to enhance their quality of life.
What we do
We offer grants ranging from £500 to £2,000 to address the specific needs of children with special needs in Barnet and Brent. Whether it’s specialised equipment, vital resources, or tailored services, we ensure these essentials are delivered directly to those who need them most. While many of our referrals come through trusted special needs educators in our local community, parents and guardians are also welcome to reach out to us directly. Together, we aim to bridge gaps and create opportunities for every child to thrive.
