Honoring a legacy of love and dedication
We are a family-run trust based in Barnet, created to carry forward the legacy of the late Saliha Basit Sardar, a devoted special needs Teaching Assistant at the Village School in Kingsbury. Saliha was known for her deep compassion and tireless commitment to the children she supported. She sadly passed away in January 2023, just months before her planned retirement, following a short illness. In her memory, and using her retirement savings, we established the Trust to continue her mission: providing care, support, and opportunities for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide meaningful, practical support to children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities, particularly in the London Boroughs of Barnet and Brent. By responding to trusted referrals, we step in to fund essential items and services directly, helping to fill gaps where other support falls short. Whether it's specialised equipment, therapy, or vital resources, our goal is to improve quality of life and create real opportunities for every child we support.
What we do
We support children with special needs, both mental and physical, in Barnet and Brent by funding essential items and services that help them thrive. Based on trusted referrals, from special needs teachers and professionals, we identify specific needs and cover the costs directly. This includes specialised equipment, therapy sessions, or other vital support. Our aim is simple: to remove barriers and provide the right help at the right time, so every child can flourish.
